The Range Rover is Getting an All-New High-Performance Petrol Engine Option

Iteration is a constant in the Land Rover brand, as new technology unlocks greater power. In light of this, Land Rover has announced that their flagship Range Rover models will be getting an all-new 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine that is capable of producing 395 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. In addition, the engine will get the Range Rover from zero to 60 mph in just 5.9 seconds and unlocks a top speed of 140 mph.

On top of the added power, the new engine is incredibly fuel efficient thanks to a Mild Hybrid 48v system. This technology dynamically collects energy as you drive and can re-route it to other areas of your vehicle through torque-assist to help improve efficiency.

What's even more impressive is that the new engine also significantly improves on emissions. CO2 emissions have been reduced by 12 percent while particulate emissions have been cut by a whopping 75%.

The brand new Ingenium petrol engine is available now on select trim levels of the Range Rover.
